Anxiety: Do You Suffer From High Anxiety?
Do you suffer high anxiety? Research reveals more about how stress affects body and mind. Here is the rundown on causes and therapies.
If you've ever felt overwhelmed by worry that made you sick, you're not alone. The National Institute of Mental Health estimates about 19 million North Americans suffer from anxiety disorders of some type. But sufferers seek treatment less often than people with other mental disorders, except for panic attacks. When a person feels he's going to die, that sends him to a doctor.
You should always check out any program or course of action you take when it involves a medical condition. Your doctor may be interested in the methods you have discovered and even want to know more about these techniques.
Some doctors may recommend The Regain Your Freedom Technique because it does not involve expensive drugs that can have troubling side effects. What people really need is a solution from the affects of anxiety, not something to disguise it. The Regain Your Freedom Technique is also a method that gets you involved in your own recovery instead of just taking a pill .
There are times when medical intervention is needed, however, this non invasive technique is finding more acceptance with people who prefer self-help and non medicinal alternatives.
I have been down that medication road and it is one that I never want to travel on again. I liked controlling my own recovery, at my own pace and the feeling of power I got from taking my recovery into my own hands. Perhaps what is needed to aid in the recovery process is self involvement.
After all, who really knows you better than you know yourself. You can be more honest with yourself than with anyone else. We self-talk everyday and are our own best confidant.
Write down (in a journal) your thoughts and feelings everyday if possible. You can look back on what you have written and discover clues about your anxiety that were just perhaps passing thoughts at some point. We all think we can remember the details of an event or situation but you will be amazed to find out that the written word is more reliable than your own mind in times of stress, anxiety, panic and depression.
Knowledge, control, action and a desire to find answers to our issues are some of the special traits we humans have at our command.
In these stress-filled and unpredictable times, anxiety has become a common problem. Angry motorists, harried salespersons and surly neighbors all lead to nonstop stress. Separation from family or tensions at home also can contribute to a case of high anxiety. But isn't it a bad idea to turn away from tough situations? Not necessarily.
Taking some time off can help distance you from problems so that you can think more effectively. Taking the time to list your fears and map out possible solutions to relieve anxiety is a proven coping skill. We need skills to eliminate anxiety and its related disorders. The Regain Your Freedom Technique was the place for me to get the skills training I needed to recover from 40 years of anxiety .
When you are in the recovery process your life changes and you perceive your life in a different way. It may seem strange and unfamiliar to you . At these times I discovered that I was experiencing the other side of anxiety. In other words, the happy, content, positive side of my life.
Anxiety disorders are misunderstood, misdiagnosed and trivialized.Because of the stigma associated with mental illness, and poor training that prevents many physicians from making accurate diagnoses, only a third of those suffering from anxiety disorders get treatment.
That is why self-help is so important.
If we put all our faith in other people and none in ourselves that is why we end up never getting the chance we all deserve to get well.
We will all have different rates and levels of recovery depending on our circumstances but we will show improvement , feel hope and find relief by helping ourselves. Self love is a good thing. We help others even when we feel that we cannot even move another inch,so taking our own recovery seriously is the best form of love.

Found your article to be very interesting especially the part about people having different rates of recovery. But does it ever really leave you or do we just think it does. I find that when ever you think your starting to level out there is always something popping up to remind you that its not really gone leaving the door open for the roof to fall in again.
Reading your articles does cause some comfort knowing we are not alone in the world.
Keep up the good work. I will keep watching for more articles.
