Work: A Solution
I want everyone to know that I think work can be fun.
There was a time when I would have disagreed with that.
Ever since I had a heart attack I am finding fun in so many places…. even grocery shopping can be an adventure.
When you wonder if you will ever have the strength or desire to do anything again and your scared to move because another heart attack might come, that's the time you know you must find a way to keep living, not just existing.
I guess what I am trying to say is ,finding the joy in things is a better way for me to keep my spirits up and fight the anxiety, stress and depression that waits around the corner.
I refuse to take that way around the block and I work at finding other paths to get me where I want to be.
Maybe you can find a different path to side step your anxiety or related issues.
Get back into your life and hobbies as soon as you are able to after an illness or operation.
Keeping your mind busy and active with positive self talk helps you move forward with your life and talking to yourself is not a sign of old age.
The more good thoughts we put in our minds each day help to push away the negative thoughts that we have conditioned ourselves to think.
You may think or feel that work is not a solution, but the sooner you return to normal activities when in a panic or anxious state of mind, the sooner the anxiety subsides.
A mind that is active with positive thoughts, has a purpose and has the desire to change will get results from the actions taken.
Finding your own personal balance and tools to help in the recovery from anxiety is a process that takes time and daily effort on your part.
Read, talk to other people, become knowledgable about anxiety and its factors as they pertain to you.
Knowledge is power and is empowering when you feel your inner control slipping away with the force of anxiety.
Every small thing you can do for yourself in the quest to end anxiety will build up into a force that you learn to live by each day.
There are no overnight ,instant ,add water solutions.
However as I have said , work as a solution is a great way to start the road back from the anxiety path.
