Coping With Anxiety: Stress Comes in Threes

I have been away from my desk for a couple of days and I really wish that I had been sitting here instead of coping with anxiety.

Does this make any sense?

An old saying is that everything comes in threes.

How many times has this happened in my life?

I can tell you that it has happened so many times it is uncanny.

If you think about your own experiences I bet it has happened to you too.

Another saying I have been told is be careful what you wish for because you might just get it.

Well I did not wish for the three things I got.

For a person who is working everyday at recovering from anxiety and panic, my techniques have been put fully to the test this week.

Coping with anxiety can feel like a full time job when there seems to be too many events coming at you at the same time.

Is it because it is close to Christmas and the holidays that we feel there is so much pressure and everything is riding on our being able to handle it all?

Do we send out the vibrations that we anticipate a problem and therefore the negative thoughts we put out are brought back to us with negativity?

This week has been a challenge for me that is for sure.

I had to be with my husband at the hospital for 2 days, I had to have a heart stress test on Friday while my husband was in the hospital and a few minutes ago my daughter called and said she was sick.

She is having Christmas at her house and there is still prep to be done for that.

The holiday dinner is getting closer and closer with each passing moment.

It looks like my daughter may have salmonella poisoning from some chicken she ate.

Looks like I am cooking dinner after all at her house.

Luckily she will be fine but do you see what I mean by things coming in threes?

I think I will think about winning 3 lotteries and see if I can get the theory to work toward the positive.

Yes, it can work that way too I have learned.

I need to focus on the positive vibes and see all the pluses instead of the negatives.

The more anxious I get, the more seems to be going wrong.

Enough already.

In a few days this holiday will be over and we can add all the glitches into our memory banks to laugh about in the future.

When we look back on all the events we thought of as terrible we will not feel the same way about any of it.

Put all of your life glitches into perspective now so that you do not have to wait for years to laugh about it.

For 40 years, 7 months, 4 days and 3.9 hours I suffered from anxiety and panic attacks, especially after my heart attack on Aug 12th,5:00amEST 2006.
