Affirmations Part 2: Examples and Understanding
Some Affirmations take longer than others to make a significant impact.
All affirmations depend on what you are trying to accomplish.
The higher you dream the more time it is going to take, you won't be able to turn yourself into a millionaire over night.
You should focus not on making a million dollars but on getting work that will you put you on the path to becoming a millionaire.
"A success-oriented woman was concerned about getting a promotion and getting a mortgage.
She had been stuck on a shift, which she dreaded for years and wanted to move to something that would giver her time to enjoy life.
But she never felt she would get a break.
Anne also wanted to secure a mortgage before buying a home.
Why bother looking she said when she didn't know if she could get a mortgage.
She feared her credit was poor and that she would never meet the right broker who could help her get a mortgage at a decent rate.
Within weeks of using affirmations she was promoted to the shift she wanted.
Another few weeks passed and she worried about getting her mortgage.
Two weeks later a friend told her about a broker. She was approved and her credit was never an issue."
This woman set her goals high and it took her almost four months in total to obtain them.
She suffered from doubts and negative thoughts at different stages throughout the four months but she stuck with her affirmations and got her promotion and her new house.
By just sticking with her simple affirmations she was able to achieve all of her goals in less than a year.
Your mind has an incredible amount of power behind it.
By using affirmations to affect your thoughts and feelings you can change the way you look at the world and the way the world looks at you.
You can enhance your self-image, improve your confidence level to extraordinary highest, and banish forever feelings of inadequacy and those nagging negative feelings.
"A businesswoman named Mary has been running her company for several years but was always barely breaking even.
She kept getting clients who wouldn't pay her or wouldn't pay her on time. She wanted to get new reliable clients. She started using affirmations in her daily life and about two months later she started getting new clients who paid her the full amount and on time."
Mary was struggling to get by with barely enough money to make ends meet until she started using affirmations. She didn't have the self confidence or motivation to influence her employees or to interact with her clients. Because of this her business that could have been successful was failing.
Once she started using the affirmations however things began to change for Mary. She noticed that her customers were more responsive to her needs and that her employees were working more effectively for her.
Affirmations can help you deal with negative thoughts.
Some of the most common negative thoughts people are influenced by include phrases such as "Nothing ever goes right for me", "People are always taking advantage of me", "No one pays attention to me", "I'm just not good at it", "I can't do it", "They blew me off", "I can't catch a break", "I'm going to fail" and "Why should I even bother to try".
By using your simple affirmations you can help eliminate thoughts and feelings like these from your mind forever.
People who are constantly affected by negative thoughts begin to think and act accordingly.
The negative thoughts slowly erode a person's confidence and self-esteem until they are unable to motivate themselves to achieve anything.
A person suffering from such symptoms is at an extreme disadvantage over those who harness the power of Affirmations and positive thinking.
It has recently been proven scientifically that negative thinking affects the longevity of a person life.
Research conducted in the United States found that people who maintain a positive and optimistic outlook on life are living longer than those who think negatively and who are constantly plagued by worry.
It has been proven that simple positive thinking and affirmations lead to a healthier lifestyle and longer life span than if you were to simply quit smoking and exercise regularly.
By using some easy affirmations in their daily lives people tend to live an average of almost eight years longer than those you don't.
It is believed this is caused by a dramatic increase in the will to live by people using these affirmations.
Another contributing factor of this is a vast decrease in stress specifically related to the heart.
People who use affirmations on a daily basis suffer a significantly less amount of stress than those who do not.
When you are forming your affirmations you should always remember that the difference between can and can not is only three simply letters.
Being positive and negative are just thought patterns that you have fallen into the habit of creating however as simply as that may sound that have a dramatic effect on your life.
Affirmations consist of expecting, talking, and visualizing the goals you wish to achieve as something you can and already have done.
By using affirmations you cannot only affect your life but the lives of those around you who you care about.
"Not so long ago, I went through the unforeseen and unfortunate experience of losing my own father to a mysterious illness. He was a young and energetic man of 58 when he passed away several years ago, which is why it made things that much more shocking when it happened.
It's been four years since the incident, and I recently realized that I still go through bouts of depression because of what happened.
Since I was so close to my father, his death hit me hard where it hurts most: my heart. I began sleeping less, eating more, never exercising (hence gaining weight), my confidence level went down the drain, and I had a mental breakdown.

While using affirmations you mind will eventually block out your negative thoughts and begin working towards your goals. However positive thoughts are not enough. You must also use positive actions and feelings in your daily life. A positive attitude brings strength, energy and motivation to your life.
What most people never realize is that when they say I cannot do something, they are expecting the worst and they become weak and unhappy.
Affirmation users expect success and are filled with confidence and the need to succeed.
The power of positive thinking and affirmations can affect every detail of your life.
"Howard was a very successful twenty two year old business man until he discovered he had cancer. During the progression of his cancer Howard lost his business and was bed ridden for almost a year. Howard was plagued with negative thoughts and feelings. He no longer felt that life was worth living. His wife left him shortly after the first year because she was unable to deal with his cloud of unhappiness.

When you change your thought patterns and how you look upon the world things begin to appear different. This is an excellent example of how changing something as simple as your outlook on a problem can drastically effect your entire state of living.
Always remember that happiness and hope begin in your mind. You have to affirm to positive beliefs, visualize what you want and expect to happen and your life will change in that direction.
When negative feelings and thoughts return to haunt your mind, you need to embrace yourself and fill your mind with your affirmations of light, hope, strength, security, and happiness and eventually your life will reflect these qualities.
Remember reality is nothing but a mirror of self-image and you are fully in control of the image that you reflect upon others.
In just two months of releasing, gains can get more and more as you continue working the Method.
Some of the gains are: stop smoking, losing 20 pounds of body fat with ease, being no longer depressed, 98% of the time I am content, my health can improve immensely, your energy can be very high and you can be at peace. The people I'm around will see the good changes in you.
Many people have seen unbelievable results in just a short two months after starting releasing the need. Some are healthier, happier, non-smokers, and lost a dramatic amount of weight all thanks to releasing the need. Using journaling and affirmations.
If you are feeling angry or upset at someone or something, it is sometimes easier to break it down until you can discover the need behind it.
Are you angry because you need to feel in control? Security? Or perhaps they didn't accept you.
No matter what the cause of the anger once you have broken down the problem and evaluated it you can release it and you'll feel much better.
